Auther: Ecological Trends Alliance
Wildfires are any unwanted lightning and human-caused fires in all types of vegetated landcover types. They are arguably one of the biggest threats to the environment because they change the ecosystem structure and interfere with ecological processes. The frequency and severity of wildfires at a global scale is likely to increase due to climate change. It is predicted that every degree in warming is associated with a 12% increase in lightning activity which is one of the triggers of wildfires.

This documentary has been produced based on the work Ecological Trends Alliance did in four enclaves in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The enclaves were Hamukungu, Kasenyi, Katwe and Katunguru where communities were organized and trained to report incidences of community - wildlife conflicts to Authorities for quick response. The work was supported by funds from International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Save Our Species (SOS) Programme.
